Park Lake is a residential community located within the Gold Coast’s urban growth corridor. Mortons-Urban Solutions were commissioned by Sunland Group as the Civil Engineers and Project Coordinators for this development.

Key features of the development include:

• A 2 x 20mt span bridge for vehicular and pedestrian movement across Saltwater Creek. This bridge forms the entry to the residential community.
• During construction the off-stream lake was used as part of the stormwater treatment system for the Bridge construction, with run-off from this being pumped upstream for settlement and flocculation, before entering Saltwater Creek.
• As Project Coordinators for the development, Mortons-Urban Solutions successfully integrated the environmental objectives of the development into the engineering design to promote appropriate construction techniques.
• The initial stage of the project involved construction of extensive external infrastructure, including trunk water and sewer mains, roadworks and stormwater drainage.
