Late in 2013 Mortons Urban Solutions welcomed Gavin Johnson to the Gold Coast office.

Gavin took up the position of Planning Manager for South East Queensland. He comes with over 20 years’ experience in the development industry having worked for local government as well as for a major Australian developer as a Project Director. In recent years he has held senior positions in a Gold Coast/Tweed based town planning consultancy. He has a particular interest in the planning and design of master planned communities and large scale subdivisions but has also been involved in a number of major apartment and commercial complexes in the region.

Gavin shares his time between projects in the Tweed and South East Queensland and as such has developed competency in both the NSW and Queensland Planning systems. Over the years he has developed relationships with senior officers in Tweed Shire Council, Gold Coast City Council, Logan City Council as well as State government.

With Gavin’s experience in the development industry, Mortons Urban Solutions is seeking to refocus its planning business by prioritising the commercial needs of its clients through all stages of the planning and approvals process from the feasibility stage through to construction commencement.
